New Delhi, Muharram 16, 1437, Oct 29, 2015, SPA -- Indian Premier Narendra Modi on Thursday called for "comprehensive" pact on climate change at the forthcoming Paris conference. "We are each making enormous efforts with our modest resources to combat climate change," Modi told the India-Africa summit in New Delhi. "So, when the world meets in Paris in December, we look to see a comprehensive and concrete outcome that is based on the well-established principles in the UN Convention on Climate Change," Modi said. According to dpa, countries are preparing for a UN climate summit in Paris in December that will negotiate a new international climate treaty. The Indian leader said no places had contributed less to global warming than India and Africa and people in both regions were more conscious of climate change. --SPA 16:44 LOCAL TIME 13:44 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
