Tunisia's president-elect set to be sworn in

Tunis, Rabi'I 9, 1436, Dec 31, 2014, SPA -- Tunisia's veteran politican Beji Caid Essibsi is set to take the oath of office on Wednesday, following his victory in the country's first free presidential polls, dpa reported. The 88-year-old won 58.68 per cent of the ballots cast in the second round on December 21, while his rival, outgoing president Moncef Marzouki, received 44.32 per cent.
