United Nations, Shawwal 30, 1435, Aug 26, 2014, SPA -- The U.N. Security Council on Tuesday renewed the mandate of the U.N. Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) for another year, and condemned attempts to threaten the country’s security and stability. The council thanked UNIFIL for helping the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) in establishing a “new strategic environment in south Lebanon.” U.N.
