New Delhi, Sha'ban 15, 1435, Jun 13, 2014, SPA -- Six employees of a state-run steel plant in the central Indian state of Chhattisgarh died and another 29 were injured in a gas leak, police said Friday. The six victims, including two general managers of the steel plant at Bhilai, died when noxious gas leaked from a furnace on Thursday, dpa quoted senior police official Pradeep Gupta as saying. "The gas was odourless and they did not realize it was leaking till some of them lost consciousness," Gupta said. He said eight of the injured were still in hospital, and the rest had been discharged after treatment overnight.
