Washington, Shawwal 19, 1435, Aug 15, 2014, SPA -- U.S. President Barack Obama said Thursday that the United States has broken militants' siege on Iraq's Sinjar Mountain, but he said that airstrikes on the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) will continue. "The bottom line is that the situation on the mountain has greatly improved. We broke the ISIL siege of Mount Sinjar, we helped vulnerable people reach safety, and we helped save many innocent lives," Obama told reporters in Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. Obama also said that he does not expect there to be any additional operations to evacuate people off the mountain nor more humanitarian aid drops there. --SPA 10:51 LOCAL TIME 07:51 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
