Washington, Ramadan 6, 1435, Jul 3, 2014, SPA -- U.S. President Barack Obama said Thursday that growth in job creation last month shows the U.S. recovery is gaining momentum, but the economy could still perform better. He urged Congress to work with him to help create more jobs. President Obama, speaking at a new technology company in Washington, cited the fastest job growth since 1999 and said, "we're making progress." U.S. employers added 288,000 jobs in June, marking the fifth consecutive monthly job gain above 200,000. The hiring surge helped drive the unemployment rate down to 6.1 percent, the lowest rate since September 2008. --SPA 23:50 LOCAL TIME 20:50 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
