Jeddah, Rabi'II 15, 1436, February 04, 2015, SPA -- A ministerial delegation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) headed by the Egyptian foreign minister, Samih Shukry, and comprising foreign ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, State of Palestine, Republic of Guinea and the Secretary General of the OIC arrived in Norway today. The delegation is on an official visit as part of the plan of action adopted by the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers on the cause of Palestine at the international arena. The consultative meeting to be held with the Norwegian foreign minister, Borge Brende, is part of a series of visits the ministerial team will embark upon to several influential capital cities to discuss developments on the Palestinian question and to convey the position of the OIC which supports Palestine’s quest for Security Council resolution to set a time frame for ending Israeli occupation and its right to join international organizations, including the demands on the need to compel Israel to stop its settlement policies and attacks on the Palestinian people, territories and holy sites. The Secretary General Iyad bin Amin Madani had praised the close links and excellent relations between the Kingdom of Norway and the Muslim world.
