The statement demanded Israel, the occupational authority, to end its military aggression on the Palestinian people immediately and held it responsible for its legal and political violations. The meeting called for the immediate implementation of the Human Rights Council resolution, issued on 23 July 2014, particularly dispatching an independent fact-finding committee to verify the Israeli violations of the international law on the ground. The communique expressed deep regret for the US vetoing and European countries abstention of the vote which encouraged Israel to go further in its military aggression and violation of the international law. The recommendations expressed satisfaction for the holding of an extraordinary session of the UN General Assembly on August 6, 2014, at a proposal from Algeria, which confirmed the world community's denunciation of the Israeli aggression and support for the Palestinian rights. Once the world community failed to take the necessary measures to force Israel to withdraw its forces from the occupied Palestinian territories and end its aggression, provide international protection for the Palestinian people, put into force the Geneva 4th Agreement 1949 and The Hague Treaty 1907, the Committee should call on all member states of the UN to get united in support of resuming the extraordinary 10th session of the UN General Assembly under the slogan "Unity for Peace" and use all the legal means to hold the Israeli leadership responsible of their war crimes against the Palestinian people. The statement called for taking measures for the prompt recognition at the UN General Assembly and all international platforms of the State of Palestine and its membership in the world institutions. The conferees paid tribute to the efforts Egypt has exerted to bring about a permanent ceasefire in Gaza Strip and a stoppage of the Israeli aggression. --More 23:05 LOCAL TIME 20:05 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
