Kabul, Sha'ban 21, 1435, Jun 19, 2014, SPA -- Afghanistan's election crisis deepened on Thursday as presidential candidate Abdullah Abdullah threatened to reject the result because his demands to stop the vote count had not been met. According to dpa, his claims of massive fraud and his call to halt the vote count, which is due to be completed on July 2, have been ignored by the electoral commission. "Our position from now on is that any activities by the election commission will be illegitimate to us and to the Afghan people," Abdullah said. "All these activities are illegal and, whatever the result may be, it is not acceptable to us," he added. --SPA 18:26 LOCAL TIME 15:26 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
