New York, Sha'ban 6, 1435, Jun 4, 2014, SPA -- Permanent representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Ambassador Abdullah bin Yahya Al-Mo’allemi took part last night in an event organized by the Alliance of Syrian opposition forces in front of the UN headquarters in New York by reading the names of 100,000 victims of the brutality of Bashar al-Assad and his regime in protest against illegal election organized by the ruling regime in Damascus against the will and decisions of the international community. The event came also as a reminder to the world of the size of the devastation caused by Al-Assad's regime and to draw attention to the number of innocent victims who have fallen and still falling of children, women, elders and men of the Syrian people as a result of shelling, destruction and killings carried out by the Syrian regime for more than three years and by using all kinds of weapons, including chemical weapons. --SPA 12:35 LOCAL TIME 09:35 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
