Prince Saud Al-Faisal said, "We meet today against a background of developments prevailed in the Muslim world, particularly the countries in the Arab region, and some of them are still suffering from the situations of political and security unrest, while others were able to take the road which we hope it restores their security and stability and transfers them to the stage of construction and development". The Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed that the Kingdom has taken a firm stance towards all brotherly countries that swept by political turmoil and internal violence, by calling for rejection of sedition and division, meeting the legitimate demands of the peoples of these countries, achieving national reconciliation free from any foreign interference or foreign agendas, and avoidance of making these countries conduits or stable places for streams of extremism and terrorism. He added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is pleased to host this conference in this critical era full of developments and changes, and on this auspicious occasion, it emphasizes the need to unite the ranks and intensify the efforts to come up with results contributing to addressing the crises that beset our region in a way to restore its stability and helps advance the process of social and economic development there. --More 14:40 LOCAL TIME 11:40 GMT www.spa.gov.sa/w
