Riyadh, August 28, 2019, SPA -- Colonel Turki Al-Malki, the official spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, said that at 23:35 on Wednesday evening (28 August 2019), an enemy projectile fell on Abha International Airport through which thousands of civilian passengers of different nationalities pass daily. Colonel Al-Maliki explained that the incident is being pursued by the competent authorities, and fortunately, there are no injuries until the publication of this statement. Al-Maliki added that the Houthi terrorist militia continues its immoral practices by targeting civilians and civilian objects protected under international humanitarian law and its customary rules, by declaring through their media their full responsibility for this terrorist act using a Cruise missile, which constitutes a clear admission and full responsibility for targeting civilian assets and civilians who are particularly protected under international humanitarian law, which could lead to a war crime by systematically targeting civilians and civilian assets. Al-Maliki said that the continuation of such acts of terrorism and high quality capabilities proves the Iranian regime's involvement in supporting the Houthi terrorist militia and the continued violation of relevant Security Council resolutions, including resolution 2216 and resolution 2231. He stressed that in the face of these acts of terrorism and the immoral violations by the Houthi terrorist militia, the command of the coalition forces continues to carry out strict measures to deter these terrorist militias in order to protect the civilian and civilian assets.
