New York, Rabi'II 16, 1439, January 03, 2018, SPA -- United States Permanent Representative to the United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley has said that her country is now consulting with members of the United Nations Security Council to hold an emergency session regarding Iranian demonstrations. Ambassador Haley said in a press conference at the Security Council Headquarters, "Claims of Iranian officials that foes of Iran were behind anti-government protests that have rocked the country over the past few days are complete nonsense." She added, "The Iranian dictatorship is trying to do what it always does, which is to say the protests were designed by Iran's enemies".
