He stressed that the Kingdom continued commitment to taking all steps to ensure that civilian and humanitarian casualties are avoided, in accordance with the principles of international humanitarian law, stressing that the coalition countries will continue to cooperate with the United Nations and other relief agencies, to ensure humanitarian access to the civilians, in Yemen, in order to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people. Al-Jubeir added that the total humanitarian support provided by the Kingdom to Yemen, during the past four years, amounted to more than $13 billion. On the Syrian crisis, the foreign minister pointed out that the position of Saudi Arabia is clear and declared to all, saying that the Kingdom seeks to stabilize Syrian unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, and has united the position of the Syrian opposition, in order it may sit, at the negotiating table before the regime, to reach a political solution that guarantees security, stability and Syrian unity, through prevention of foreign intervention or any attempts to partition of the country and commitment to the Geneva Declaration 1 and Security Council Resolution 2254 On the Libyan issue, he said that the Kingdom supports the unity and independence of sisterly Libya and supports the efforts of the UN envoy to reach a political solution, that will guarantee the security and stability of Libya and eliminate terrorism over its lands. Al-Jubeir pointed to the suffering of our world from the phenomenon of terrorism, which the Kingdom has exerted all efforts to combat, and did not hesitate to provide all kinds of support, in cooperation with the international community, to eliminate it, as a malicious scourge. He stressed that the terrorism practiced by Iran, through its blatant interference in our Arab affairs and support militias of terrorism, is among the ugliest manifestations of that terrorism, which requires us to unite and cooperate to confront and deter its tools. In recognition of Saudi Arabia's responsibility for the requirements of Arab national security, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during its rotational chairmanship of the Council in its 149th session, has endeavored to utilize parallel relations and movements on the international scene and coordinate positions with the brotherly Arab countries, with a view to positively influencing international issues of interest to the Arab world, and contributed to consolidation of Arab visions and attitudes towards the issues and developments affecting Arab interests, he further said.
