The Minister Al-Jubeir also stressed that today's meeting is of utmost importance because it comes after the opening of the US Embassy in Jerusalem, and that this action is contrary to the international resolutions, the resolutions of the Security Council and the resolutions of the General Assembly of the United Nations, the most recent of which was the resolution of December 2017 which stipulated that "Any decisions or actions aimed at changing the character, status or demographic composition of Al-Quds Al-Sharif have no legal effect and are null and void. He further said, "The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia refuses to move its embassy to Jerusalem and reaffirms that this step represents a significant bias against the historical and permanent rights of the Palestinian people in Jerusalem, which are being guaranteed by the relevant international resolutions, and recognized by the international community and represent a significant decline in the efforts to push the peace process, indicating that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has already warned of the serious consequences of this unjustified step because of the provocation of the feelings of Muslims around the world.
