Saudi Aramco Awards two Drilling Islands' Contract to China Harbor Engineering Arabia company

Dhahran, Muharram 1, 1440, Sep 11, 2018, SPA -- Saudi Aramco awarded here today China Harbor Engineering Arabia company a contract to build two drilling islands, under the company's program to increase production, in Al-Barri oilfield. This program aims at producing additional 250,000 barrels per day of Arabian light crude oil, from the oilfield of Al-Barri to 500,000 barrels per day, in early 2023, in order to maintain maximum production capacity fixed for Saudi Aramco. The contract was co-signed, in Dhahran, on behalf of Saudi Aramco by the Vice President of Project Management Fahad Al Hilal and Wu Yuanxing, General Manager of the Chinese conglomerate. Producing program stipulates installation of a new oil gas screening plant on Abu Ali Island and additional gas treatment facilities, at the Kharsaniyah Gas Plant, to process 40,000 barrels of hydrocarbon associated condensates, with the increase in crude oil production of Al-Barri oilfield. Under the contract, two offshore drilling islands will be built on the northern and southern sides of King Fahd Industrial Port, in Jubail, to support production islands, in Al-Barri oilfield.
