Riyadh, January 30, 2022, SPA -- An agreement for the "Renewable energy use to improve the quality of life in Yemen" project was signed between the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Project for Yemen (SDRPY), Arab Gulf Program for Development (AGFUND) and Selah Foundation for Development with the aim of implementing the project in five Yemeni governorates of Hadramout, Taiz, Lahij, Abyan and the Western Coast with a total value of USD 2.1 million in the fields of energy, technological environment, food security, health and education, women empowerment, water and sanitation, protection and shelter. The three sides of the signing were represented by Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, AGFUND Chairman; SDRPY General Supervisor Ambassador Mohammad Al Jabir; Selah Foundation for Development CEO Ali Bashmakh. Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz said that the project of renewable energy use to improve the quality of life in Yemen lays the foundation of a qualitative infrastructure that is required now, especially for solving crises and dealing with emergencies to meet the necessary needs.
