Al Amoudi: Signing of Maritime Cooperation Agreement with China Supports Training and Establishes Shipbuilding Industry

Riyadh, February 23, 2019, SPA -- Minister of Transport and Chairman of the Public Transport Authority Dr. Nabil bin Mohammed Al-Amoudi, said that the agreement on cooperation in maritime transport between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the people's Republic of China aims at enhancing the maritime transport industry and developing it between the two countries. On this occasion, Al-Amoudi stated that the agreement encourages maritime studies and specialized maritime training, including providing scholarships for Saudi maritime cadres, promoting the exchange of communications, enhancing the transferring of technology between maritime transport bodies and institutions of both countries, in order to contribute to the efficiency and development of maritime transport techniques, providing facilities for shipbuilding and their maintenance, and encourage the establishment of maritime companies and joint maritime institutions between the two countries . --SPA 11:57 LOCAL TIME 08:57 GMT 0004 www.spa.gov.sa/w841869
