Riyadh, March 30,2020, SPA -- The Minister of Health, Dr. Tawfiq bin Fawzan AlRabiah, has announced the issuance of the order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to provide free treatment to all citizens, residents, and violators of the residency regulation in all government and private health facilities relating to all matters for treatment of the Coronavirus. The Minister affirmed that this royal order emanates from the keenness of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques who put the health of citizens and residents as a top priority to ensure the safety of all. This came in a press conference held by the Minister of Health at the headquarters of Saudi Food and Drug Authority in Riyadh today. --More 15:42 LOCAL TIME 12:42 GMT 0016 Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques orders free treatment from Coronavirus for all citizens, residents, and violators of residency regulation in all health facilities 2 Riyadh The Minister of Health said that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' order aims to provide free health care to violators of residency, labo and border security regulation who are infected or suspected of being infected with Coronavirus in hospitals, governmental and private medical centers, without any legal consequences, in order to ensure the health security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's citizens and residents. He stressed that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' initiative comes as an extension of the humanitarian efforts that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has provided to countries that have been infected with this virus such as China and Italy, adding that the residents of this land have the priority to have this human gesture. He pointed out that the G20 Summit regarding the Coronavirus chaired by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques confirmed the Kingdom's pioneering role and excellence as a model to be followed in confronting this virus. "The wise decisions of the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques through adopting early precautionary measures have preceded many countries and had a tangible impact in curbing the spread of the Coronavirus", Al-Rabiah said, stressing that the Kingdom is serious about taking many effective and preventive measures. He pointed out that there is a continuous review of these measures, continuous follow-up as well as assessment of the outcomes. The Minister of Health stressed that the health services are continuous and available around the clock in hospitals and health centers, affirming the readiness to deal with any developments of the virus. "We have witnessed a great cooperation and effective response from citizens and residents. We look forward to more. Everyone must realize the size of responsibility in order to support the exerted efforts to prevent the spread of the virus," he said, urging everyone to the necessity of staying at home. He expressed his optimism of a medication of this virus in the future due to global and strong concentration to find an appropriate vaccine and medication. The Minister of Health pointed out that this global pandemic represents a great challenge, stressing the difficulty to make any expectation of its end, adding that the virus is still under study and its spread is very fast.
