Saudi Arabia, UK conclude high-level session of Strategic Aid Dialogue

The high-level session of the Strategic Aid Dialogue between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom concluded in London on Friday. The Kingdom’s delegation was headed by the Advisor at the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, and representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Finance and the Saudi Fund for Development. The closing session was also attended by the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development, Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, and Prince Saad bin Mansour bin Saad, the Foreign Ministry’s Director General of the General Administration for European Countries. On the British side, the session was attended by the Minister of State for the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia, and United Nations at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) Lord Tariq Mahmood Ahmed, and Director General of the Middle East, Afghanistan, Pakistan, US, Canada, and the Overseas Territories Vijay Rangarajan. During the session, the two sides agreed on more cooperation to enhance development communication and exchange data and experiences to serve their priorities, and to support the development and humanitarian programs for the neediest groups in the world. They also agreed to finance more development and humanitarian projects in thematic and geographical areas of common interest. The high-level session of the Strategic Aid Dialogue between Saudi Arabia and the UK continued for two days, to discuss common humanitarian and development challenges, develop a framework for development cooperation, define priorities and future steps, as well as discuss existing and potential cooperation programs. The deliberations were attended by ministers and senior representatives of both governments. — SPA
