TGA stresses need to issue driver cards for Hajj and Umrah firms through e-transport portal

The Transport General Authority (TGA) has reiterated the importance of issuing driver cards and vehicle operation cards for Hajj transport companies during the current Hajj season of 1444 AH. The cards should be obtained through the e-transport portal. The Authority has emphasized that establishments must obtain approval from the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for transporting pilgrims within the Holy Sites, following the Ministry"s approved regulations. It has also highlighted the significance of complying with all the necessary licenses from relevant authorities to avoid violations and legal penalties. The Authority has clarified that the electronic transport portal has been developed to issue seasonal vehicle operation cards and driver cards during the previous period. So far, more than 12,000 seasonal cards have been issued through the portal. Companies can take advantage of the services provided by accessing the portal at naql.sa/main. Furthermore, the General Union of Cars specialists have been directed to ensure compliance with the requirement of cards for seasonal drivers and vehicles transporting pilgrims during this year"s Hajj season of 1444 AH. Additionally, the Authority is executing its plan and preparations to intensify supervision over the activities and transport services provided to the pilgrims during the Hajj season. This is being done to ensure that the means of transportation adhere to all regulations and technical requirements, meet safety standards, and ensure smooth and organized transportation for visitors and pilgrims.
