RIYADH: Saudi Arabia on Wednesday said it is following with “great concern” the developments in Niger, after presidential guards held President Mohamed Bazoum inside his palace in the capital, Niamey. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom’s keenness for Niger’s security, stability, and the integrity of its institutions. It also affirmed “full solidarity with the people of Niger, and called on everyone to give priority to the voice of reason, wisdom and supreme national interest,” the ministry said in a statement.
