Saudi vice minister of foreign affairs attends Arab-Japan Political Dialogue ministerial meeting

On behalf of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal Bin Farhan, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Eng. Waleed El-Khereiji headed Saudi Arabia"s delegation to the third session of the Ministerial Meeting of the Arab-Japan Political Dialogue in Cairo, Egypt. During his speech, Eng. El-Khereiji noted the importance of continuing the political dialogue that confirms everyone"s keenness to deepen and expand the distinguished cooperation relations in different fields, as well as to exchange opinions and viewpoints on political issues of common concern. He stressed the necessity of making the Middle East to be a safe, stable and prosperous region that gives hope for a better future for all. There are broad agreements with Japan toward the importance of nurturing peace, encouraging negotiated solutions, and supporting security, stability, and development, Eng. El-Khereiji said. Eng. El-Khereiji pointed out that "It is of great importance to combine efforts to guarantee the internationally recognized rights of the Palestinian people and bring peace through negotiations in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative, and the principles of international law." He also expressed Saudi Arabia"s aspiration to advance Arab-Japanese cooperation to better levels in various fields. It is worth noting that the the Arab side in the meeting was headed by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and the Japanese side was headed by Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi. As for the Kingdom"s delegation, it included the Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the Arab League Ambassador Abdulaziz Bin Abdullah Al-Matar.
