Saudi Ministry of Islamic Affairs organizes local King Salman bin Abdulaziz Qur’an competition

RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Duah and Guidance is organizing a local competition for the King Salman bin Abdulaziz Award for memorization, recitation and interpretation of the Holy Qur’an for boys and girls in its 25th session. The contest, which will held under the patronage of King Salman, includes prizes totaling SR7,000,000 ($1,8 million) for the winners in its six branches. Minister of Islamic Affairs, Duah and Guidance Abdulatif Al Al-Sheikh extended his thanks and appreciation to the king and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their care of the Holy Qur’an and for the memorizers, and their support, motivation, and consolidation of its values and principles. Al Al-Sheikh, who is also the general supervisor of local and international Qur’anic competitions, said that the local competition in this session was distinguished by an increase in the prize allocation, where the first winner in the first branch will receive a prize of SR400,000.
