MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Climate Week 2023 (MENACW) is to be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in collaboration with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. The fiveday event will be held in Riyadh between October 8 and 12. Aramco president and CEO, Amin Nasser, and three other senior executives are scheduled to share their insights. Nasser will deliver a session entitled “A Multidimensional Path to Net Zero” on the first day of the event, which will address climate solutions ahead of COP28 in Dubai, UAE, later this year. The other Aramco speakers at the event, will be: • Ashraf A. Al Ghazzawi, executive vice president of Strategy and Corporate Development, will talk about “The Kingdom’s Ambition in Supplying the Global Economy with Clean Hydrogen” on October 10. • Ahmad O. Al-Khowaiter, executive vice president of Technology and Innovation, will talk about “How the Energy Transition is Creating a Materials Transition” on October 9. • Fahad K. Al Dhubaib, senior vice president of Strategy and Market Analysis, will discuss “Unlocking CCUS (Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage) Potential” on October 11. Ministers, senior officials, business people, and media figures will attend MENACW. The conference will host various important international and regional events, meetings, exhibitions, and cultural activities. The theme of the event will be “Global Stocktake” to assess the progress made toward the climate change commitments in the Paris Agreement.
