Saudi Arabia and UN-Habitat sign headquarters agreement in Riyadh

On behalf of Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Saudi Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Rassi on Wednesday signed a headquarters agreement in Riyadh between the Saudi government and the Office of UN Human Settlements Program, or UN-Habitat. The agreement was signed by Erfan Ali, director of UN-Habitat’s Regional Programs Division. Al-Rassi highlighted the importance of strengthening joint work, based on the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to host international organizations in order to achieve sustainable development goals. In a separate meeting, he received the UN Resident Coordinator in the Kingdom, Mohamed El-Zarkani. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation, and issues of common interest.
