Agricultural advancements have led to the creation of a world record-breaking farm located in Wadi Bin Hashbal, affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture in the Asir region, The farm covers an impressive area of over 3 million square meters and is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest in the world. The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) recently visited the farm and reported on its diverse crops, which include eight different seasonal fruit trees, 1,000 Sidr trees, and 400 almond trees. The farm also has 50 guide fields where the best agricultural practices are applied, as well as advanced irrigation techniques, which make use of treated water. According to Director-General of the Ministry of Environment and Water branch in Asir Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Mujthal, the farm is a sustainable research project that has more than 14,000 trees. Al Mujthal added that the farm has five protected and air-conditioned farms that are used for research purposes. The farm uses tertiary treated water suitable for both restricted and unrestricted irrigation. — SPA
