RIYADH: The Ministry of Health and VitalAire Arabia have agreed to set up a center of excellence dedicated to the provision of healthcare services for people with diabetes. The new facility will aid the development of individual care plans for about 6,000 patients living with Type 1 diabetes, the healthcare provider said. The aim of the project was to “improve patients’ health outcomes and quality of life in a more cost-effective way,” it said. The collaboration represents a step forward in diabetes care and treatment in line with the wider transformation of healthcare services in the Kingdom under Saudi Vision 2030. Jalel Gatti, VitalAire’s vice president for business development in the Africa, Middle East and India region, said: “We are delighted to be able to contribute our part to the continuous improvement of the standard of care by putting the patients at the heart of everything we do. “This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to deliver patient-focused healthcare solutions that make a meaningful difference in the lives of people living with intensive insulin-treated diabetes in the Kingdom.” VitalAire Arabia is part of an international healthcare company that has more than 25 years of experience of providing at-home services for people living with diabetes.
