Saudi FM in Geneva to attend UNHRC event and lead delegation meeting Swiss leaders over Gaza

Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived on Tuesday in the Swiss city of Geneva to head the Saudi delegation participating in the high-level event of the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. He is also leading a delegation of the Ministerial Committee assigned by the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit to hold a number of meetings with the Swiss leaders in its initiative to end the Israeli aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip. The two-day UNHRC event, which began on Monday, is discussing mainly various aspects of strengthening multilateral cooperation to protect human rights in light of the many challenges and crises the world is witnessing, including wars and conflicts. It also discusses the importance of enhancing respect for human rights with regard to social, cultural, economic, civil and political aspects, guaranteed by international law and international humanitarian law, and taking all the necessary measures to foster and promote them
