DUBAI: Noon by Noor have introduced their Resort 2024 collection, inspired by the concept of layering that seamlessly transitions wearers from the beaches of Ibiza to the streets of New York and dinner in Venice. For the latest updates, follow us on Instagram @arabnews.lifestyle The collection — created by Bahraini designers Shaikha Noor Al-Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Al-Khalifa — features a range of colors, including seaweed green, sea anemone purple, squid-ink navy, coral, lavender, salmon, poppy red and sunflower yellow. The Resort collection begins with a simple draped and gathered asymmetric tunic, perfect for a day at the beach. Layered with lean-cut trousers, the look effortlessly transitions from a casual day out to an evening celebration with the addition of a flowing capelet or cover-up. “We aimed to create a versatile wardrobe that empowers the Noon By Noor woman to easily adapt her look to suit any occasion,” said Shaikha Noor in a statement. Designed with a focus on comfort, the pieces in the collection are crafted with bias cuts, gathers and drapes, resulting in soft pleated volumes that wrap around the body and can be worn with a relaxed elegance, as described by designer Shaikha Haya. “The tailoring is precise and paired with slim, straight-cut trousers made from slub silks or jacquards. Neat, quilted jackets are reversible, reflecting a nod to utilitarian trends, alongside metallic foil parkas and recycled nylons.” In addition to the usual choices of silks, cottons and linens, the label has also introduced a recycling program for the collection, using recycled polyester chiffon, crepe and nylon. “The ultimate luxury is having choices, and that is something we particularly wanted to emphasize with this collection,” the designers said. Previously, Noon by Noor’s fall-winter 2023 collection featured an amalgamation of elongated shadows created under the Bahraini sunshine, with the new collection incorporating silhouettes that are long, lean and chic — where skirts and coats graze the floor. In a statement, the cousins said at the time: “For fall-winter 2023, we began our dialogue with images from the French illustrator Francois Berthoud and his book titled ‘Facsimile.’ First commissioned by Anna Piaggi for Conde Nast’s Vanity Fair, his work soon appeared in all leading magazines. “Beautiful, high-impact imagery that blends art, fashion and communication created in tones of black, grey and browns — this was a starting point,” they added.
