Mary Earps, the England goalkeeper, has been named the BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year for 2023. Earps said the award was the ‘ultimate all-round sporting accolade’ and said that she was ‘truly and incredible grateful’ as she received the award in Salford’s Media City.
