Microsoft has announced the appointment of Turki Badhris as President of Microsoft Arabia. Badhris will be responsible for leading Microsoft’s business in the Kingdom and driving the company’s innovation initiatives to accelerate digital transformation, in line with country"s Vision 2030. Microsoft Arabia operates with three offices, over 200 employees, and a network of more than 1,600 partners that are committed to supporting Saudi Arabia"s innovation economy. Aligned with the nation"s visionary leadership and its digital transformation agenda, Microsoft Arabia strives to promote the Kingdom"s digital posture through cutting-edge solutions, advanced expertise, and investments in technological infrastructure. This includes the establishment of a Microsoft cloud datacenter region, a move set to significantly enhance the nation"s digital infrastructure and pave the way for new economic opportunities. As President of Microsoft Arabia, Badhris will spearhead Microsoft"s initiatives to unlock substantial economic potential within Saudi Arabia by harnessing the capabilities of Microsoft"s cloud ecosystem. According to IDC research, Microsoft, its ecosystem, and cloud-using clients will together generate an estimated $24 billion in new revenue by 2026. Moreover, it is projected to create around 87,760 direct and indirect jobs, with 28,710 individuals in the Kingdom gaining IT skills during this period. Badhris is an experienced digital leader with more than 20 years of diverse industry expertise and achievements in several multinational organizations across the Middle East markets. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Public Sector at Microsoft Arabia. Before joining Microsoft, he held various positions of increasing responsibility at DELL Technologies, VCE, and Oracle. He is well-regarded for his ability to foster long-term relationships and deliver cutting-edge value to customers. Badhris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia. Passionate about business economy, technology evolution, and people development, he firmly believes in the capacity of Saudi youth to make a substantial impact and play a pivotal role in strengthening the country"s digital economy.
