Callum O’Hare struck twice as Coventry came from behind to claim a stunning late 3-1 win over Championship leaders Leicester on Saturday. The Foxes were on course for victory after a controversial Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall penalty late in the first half but the sending off of Abdul Fatawu left them to play the second period with 10 men. O’Hare equalised 11 minutes from time and Milan Van Ewijk dramatically put the hosts in front at the Coventry Building Society Arena on 87 minutes. O’Hare’s second in stoppage time completed a remarkable fightback. Southampton then moved within 10 points of Leicester with an emphatic 4-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday at St Mary’s and rivals Leeds also kept up the pressure among the chasing pack with a 3-0 win at Cardiff. Patrick Bamford and Dan James scored in the first half for the Yorkshire side and Georginio Rutter wrapped up the win late on after Crysencio Summerville had hit the post from the penalty spot. In the late game, Ipswich came from behind to beat Sunderland 2-1 at Portman Road. Jack Clarke opened the scoring for the visitors, but Kayden Jackson and Conor Chaplin, with a thumping header, gave the home side three points and took them back into second spot. West Brom maintained their challenge by thrashing Blackburn 4-1 at the Hawthorns. Tom Fellows put them into an early lead before Brandon Thomas-Asante doubled their advantage and a Dominic Hyam own goal made it 3-0 by the interval. Jake Garrett pulled one back but Thomas-Asante’s second put the Baggies firmly back in control. At the other end of the table, bottom side Rotherham saw their three-game unbeaten run come to an end as they were beaten 1-0 at home to Stoke. Lewis Baker scored the only goal of the game on the stroke of half-time. Jordan James scored a last-gasp equaliser as Birmingham claimed a 2-2 draw against Swansea at St Andrews in Tony Mowbray’s first game in charge. Kick-off was delayed at the Den after visitors Middlesbrough were caught up in traffic problems but they recovered to claim a 3-1 victory over Millwall. Joe Bryan gave the hosts a 10th-minute lead but Boro hit back through Lukas Engel and Isaiah Jones before Marcus Forss claimed their third in stoppage time. Josh Koroma’s equaliser saw Huddersfield claim a 1-1 draw against Plymouth at the John Smith’s Stadium, but the result drew an angry response from Huddersfield owner Kevin Nagle, who tweeted: “NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!” after the match. Will Keane scored twice in the final 25 minutes as Preston beat Bristol City 2-0 at Deepdale.
