Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosary conducted a visit to the radio and television headquarters in the Grand Mosque, Makkah, on Tuesday. The visit aimed to assess the progress of work and the performance efficiency during the Umrah season"s coverage in Ramadan. Among the visited sites was the headquarters of the Holy Qur’an Channel, where Al-Dosary was welcomed by the channel"s director, Saleh Al-Ahmadi, along with the channel"s staff, including administrators and technicians. During his visit, the minister was introduced to the transmission studios, their cutting-edge technologies, and the channel"s efforts to provide live broadcasts to millions of viewers worldwide during Ramadan. He commended the media role of Saudi channels and radio stations in providing extensive coverage of various occasions and events, emphasizing the significance of keeping pace with media coverage needs. The Holy Qur’an Channel offers a 24-hour live feed from the Grand Mosque to a global audience, utilizing over 40 modern high-tech cameras operated by more than 80 highly skilled Saudi professionals. This visit underscores the importance of ensuring high-quality media coverage during one of the most spiritually significant times of the year for Muslims worldwide.
