Minister of Media Salman Al-Dosary inspected the headquarters and various facilities of media outlets at the Holy Sites. He commenced his tour by reviewing the level of preparedness at the headquarters of the Ministry of Media in Arafat. He was briefed on the technologies used in the mobile broadcasting vehicle of the Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) designated for coverage of the wuqoof Arafat or standing at Arafat, the most important pillar of Hajj, which will take place on Saturday. He then moved to the Jabal Al-Rahma Tower, and was briefed on the mobile television studio of the authority. Al-Dosary visited the media center of the Saudi News Agency (SPA) in Arafat, which includes the necessary media equipment to facilitate media work for all Saudi and international journalists. He then moved to the ministry’s headquarters in Mina, and reviewed the readiness of the SBA’s studios. The visit also covered the media center of SPA in Mina, and interacted with the work team. At the end of the visit, the minister highlighted the great role played by media professionals in highlighting the Kingdom’s efforts in serving the guests of God, and the attention given by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to enable the pilgrims to perform rituals of Hajj in a smooth and comfortable way. It is noteworthy that the Saudi Broadcasting Authority has 100 correspondents and broadcasters, in addition to about 100 mobile cameras at the Holy Sites. It has also prepared more than 700 news articles in 12 languages, in addition to an operations room to support logistical services, while the production teams have been reinforced with cadres specialized in field coverage and news editing, and adding mobile units to broadcast reports from different locations at the Holy Sites.
