Also note that if there’s one thing we love as much as we love pop music, it’s funny things on the internet. As zillennials, we’re old enough to recall the ear-piercing tones of a dial-up modem and have mild Omegle trauma, but young enough to have had our attention spans aggressively eroded by short-form video content before our frontal lobes fully developed. Naturally, we are two certified digital natives who fly the flag and keep our screen time as abysmally high as we can. Here are a few things that make us laugh. 1. DJ Khaled dancing Iconoclast DJ Khaled really gave drunk uncle at the family function and God do we love him for it. Physical comedy tickles us over here at Diva Cups HQ, so believe us when we say that recreations of this lil’ two-step move will please any and all crowds. 2. Trisha Paytas learning that Teenage Dream was not originally by Darren Criss Trisha is so real for this. Yeah we’re Gleeks, OK?! Get over it! 3. NikNok123 wrestling her brother in the dark Considering this is the pace, volume and diction we also converse with, we suspect NikNok could be the long lost third Diva Cup. We’ve both buckled over and snorted several times while watching this storytime video? Not normal. 4. Why would I want furniture from a century that was mid? The morning of March 15, 2022: when the whole of Sydney’s inner west population was found dead (in their replica Eames chairs). 5. Oi mista, you me dad? We are not immune to the appeal of British accent-based humour, and this gem very well could be where it all began. Original? No. Timeless? Absolutely. Not only is Aaron Chen one of the best comedians to ever do it, but this joke is also the perfect crossover of our mutual interest in Australian pop sensations of the early 2010 and boy humour. 7. The best Borat TikTok ever OK now that we’re getting vulnerable about the fact that we both possess the sense of humour of a pre-pubescent teenage boy, we’ll leave this here. To be honest we’re upset that we can’t put the whole Borat movie on the list, but this just about covers it. 8. Stath’s Chicken Shop Date Just about everybody is familiar with Chicken Shop Date (Amelia Dimoldenberg? Icon, legend, the moment!) but we are incredibly passionate about making sure that Jamie Demetriou’s Stath also gets his flowers. This video is a quick intro to the bonkers world of Stath Lets Flats, which is the perfect show to watch when you come home from the club and need something to laugh at while you peel off your fake eyelashes and inhale an Oporto burger. 9. Glozell’s cinnamon challenge Sometimes the classics really are classics for a reason! 10. Planking 2023 was the year we half-heartedly attempted to revive planking (until Flume somehow data mined our brains and posted the infamous beach plank photo dump, the copycat). Nothing unites the squad quite like everyone helping to set up a plank. More planking in 2024!
