Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif lauded the great efforts and dedication of the members of various sectors related to Hajj security for making the Hajj security plan a great success. He made the remarks during his meeting with senior officials of Public Security, Hajj security forces, and military commanders and supportive forces that are tasked to safeguard the security and safety of pilgrims at the ministry’s office in Makkah on Wednesday. Prince Abdulaziz conveyed the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to the personnel of the Ministry of Interior, the Presidency of State Security, and the supporting military bodies from the Ministry of National Guard, the Ministry of Defense, and the Presidency of General Intelligence on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha. The minister affirmed the leadership’s pride and appreciation of all these institutions for carrying out the Hajj security and organizational plans. The minister emphasized that a safe Hajj and a fulfilling experience for pilgrims on this journey of faith were achieved due to a combination of qualified human capabilities, strategic planning, and optimal use of technology. Director of Public Security and Chairman of the Hajj Security Committee Lt. Gen. Mohammad Al-Bassami emphasized that the Hajj security forces are still working according to plans, to ensure the safety of the pilgrims. He stressed that all the concerned agencies and parties worked together, making full use of all technologies, including AI, as well as human and technical resources. Al-Bassami said that the Hajj security forces will continue following the security and organizational plans until Hajj is completed and pilgrims return to their countries.
