Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), announced Riyadh Season’s sponsorship of Al Hilal’s new channel on the global platform DAZN. This move is set to elevate the club’s international media presence. Riyadh Season will oversee the content and programs broadcasted on the channel, offering a unique experience for Al Hilal fans. In a statement, Alalshikh explained that the channel will feature exclusive programs and interviews, daily reports on training sessions, and behind-the-scenes access to players" locker rooms. The channel will also broadcast select friendly matches and include Riyadh Season-sponsored programs showcasing top stars from around the world. Alalshikh emphasized: “This channel will expand Al Hilal’s reach from Japan to the United States, through DAZN’s presence in 200 countries globally. Additionally, the channel will generate significant revenue for Al Hilal through commercial advertising and direct contracts. DAZN is exploring more ways to collaborate with Al Hilal, a natural move considering Fahad bin Nafel’s success as one of the most accomplished club presidents globally. Riyadh Season sees success in this partnership and is proud to play a part in it.” He also revealed that Al Hilal is not the only Saudi club expanding its reach through DAZN, as discussions are currently underway with Al Nassr Club for a potential collaboration, including a match against an international team, with further details pending. On the benefits of the partnership, Alalshikh pointed out that it will benefit not only Al Hilal’s global fanbase but also Saudi citizens abroad and the Saudi league as a whole. The presence of many stars in Al Hilal and the league is expected to be a major draw for international audiences. He added: "Few clubs have specialized international channels, making this a prime opportunity for Al Hilal. We’ve seen great success with similar projects in boxing and other events. Given Al Hilal’s expansive fanbase, this channel could attract up to two million subscribers.” Alalshikh encouraged other Saudi clubs to consider similar ventures, saying: “Any club interested in working with DAZN through Riyadh Season is welcome to join.” The partnership was formalized in London between Al Hilal, represented by its Chairman Fahad bin Nafel, and DAZN, represented by Kacy Grine, President of DAZN for the Middle East and North Africa. The channel will be available globally through DAZN’s app, offering an enhanced experience for Al Hilal fans. It will include live match broadcasts, interviews with players and coaching staff, and behind-the-scenes footage from training sessions and matchdays. Additionally, special reports will focus on Al Hilal’s history, achievements, and future ambitions. Kacy Grine commented on the partnership, saying: “We are proud to work with Al Hilal, one of the world’s most prominent clubs. Through this partnership, we will share Al Hilal’s inspiring story as the club continues to make history.” The channel is scheduled to launch by the end of the year, with live broadcasts of Al Hilal’s matches and various exclusive programs, allowing fans to stay updated on the club’s latest developments in the Saudi Pro League.
