Two Saudi Projects in Yemen to Battle Cholera Epidemic

In collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) signed in Riyadh on Tuesday agreements to implement two projects, worth $22,740,133, in Yemen for treating and battling cholera epidemic as directed by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. Advisor at the Royal Court and the General Supervisor of the Relief Center Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabeeah and Representative of World Health Organization (WHO) Dr. Ibrahim Al Ziq signed the agreements. The two projects aim at supporting cholera treatment in Yemen, improving treatment of suspected cases and initiating infection control practices at the level of health facilities in order to reduce the spread of disease and deaths from the epidemic. They are also intended for coordinating and collaborating at local and international levels in the fields of water and sanitation among international organizations operating in Yemen.
