UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Dr. Anwar Gargash said on Saturday that it is clear to all observers that “Arab-Turkish ties are not at their best.” He demanded through a series of tweets Ankara to respect the sovereignty of Arab countries. In order for balances to be restored, Turkey must respect their sovereignty and treat its neighbors wisely and reasonably, he continued. Attacking major Arab countries and supporting “ideological” organizations that seek to change regimes through violence is not a “rational” approach to deal with neighbors, Gargash said. “The current circumstances will not persist forever and, when dealing with Arabs, neighboring countries must distinguish between facts and legends,” he remarked.
