DUBAI: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sponsored the signing of a joint venture agreement on Saturday to localize more than 55 percent of the maintenance and repair of fighter jets and helicopters in the Kingdom, Saudi state-news channel Al-Ekhbariya reported. The agreement also included the transfer of technology to integrate weapons on these aircrafts and the settlement of a supply chain for spare parts within Saudi Arabia. The agreement was signed in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030. The agreement, between Saudi Arabian Military Industries company (SAMI) and Boeing, was signed by SAMI chairman Ahmad Al-Khatib and Boeing CEO Denis Mullenberg.
