Saudi Arabia relief agency signs four joint agreements to provide humanitarian assistance to Yemen

The value of the agreements, which will provide humanitarian aid to Yemen, exceeds $5.3 million RIYADH: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) on Tuesday signed four cooperation deals with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Benevolence Coalition for Humanitarian Relief (BCHR). The value of the agreements, which will provide humanitarian aid to Yemen, exceeds $5.3 million. They were signed by Abdullah Al-Rabeeah, adviser at the Saudi Royal Court and supervisor-general of KSRelief, in the presence of Abdul Raqib Fatah, Yemen’s minister of local administration and chairman of the Yemeni Higher Relief Committee. The first agreement with the BCHR is valued at $2.2 million, and will benefit 3,750 Yemenis directly and 18,750 indirectly. The second agreement with the BCHR aims to enable families of needy orphans in Yemen to be self-reliant and find steady income. Its value is $133,000, and will benefit 250 people directly and 1,500 indirectly. Al-Rabeeah signed an integrated response agreement with the FAO in the field of agriculture and food security. Its value is $2 million, and will benefit 147,000 people directly. The agreement with the IOM aims to reintegrate returning students and displaced people in host communities in Lahj governorate. Its value is $1 million, and will benefit 3,468 people.
