Kuwait, Bahrain, UAE Condemn Terror Shooting in Qassim

Kuwait, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates on Monday reiterated their full support for Saudi Arabia against forces of radicalism, terrorism and extremism. The three countries condemned a recent shooting incident which targeted a security checkpoint located on the Buraidah road in Al-Qassim region.  The shooting resulted in the death of a Saudi security officer and a resident. Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz received cables of condolences from Kuwait Ruler Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The Emir expressed his countrys condemnation of this criminal act and supported all measures undertaken by Saudi Arabia to maintain its national security and stability. Kuwait’s Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah also sent the Saudi Monarch cables of condolences. The Kingdom of Bahrain also strongly condemned the incident and reaffirmed its support to Saudi Arabia and its full solidarity in the fight against all forms of terrorism. Bahrain emphasized the need to strengthen international cooperation and joint coordination to eliminate terrorism seeking to disrupt international peace. The UAE also strongly denounced the terrorist attack, rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism. The UAE expresses its deep condemnation of these criminal acts and its rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism, an official statement said. It also stressed that such cowardly acts would not undermine the resolve of the people of Saudi Arabia and their insistence on continuing to confront terrorism. This terrorist incident is completely incompatible with all human and religious principles, values and customs, the statement added.
