Arab Coalition Exerting Efforts to Contact Yemen’s Political, Social Components

The Saudi-led Arab coalition to restore legitimacy in Yemen is exerting a lot of efforts to contact political, social and tribal components of Yemen, reported the Saudi Press Agency. Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki al-Maliki told a press conference in Riyadh Monday that the people of Yemen reject the actions of the Iran-backed Houthi militias. He also highlighted the statement by the Yemeni Religious Scholars Association that condemned the militias for looting humanitarian aid and called on the international communities and organizations to stop these acts. Maliki also said that an educational campaign was launched by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) to provide 5,000 chairs and 5,000 tables for Yemeni schools. He said that the humanitarian operations are still operating at full capacity, adding that the total permits issued by the Command of the Coalition Forces reached 27,937 since the beginning of the military operations. Maliki praised the Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations Plan in Yemen implemented by KSRelief. He said that as many as 5,168,509 people benefited from the humanitarian operations in 181 days.
