King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) signed on Thursday three executive programs to treat 500 injured and wounded Yemenis, in partnership with a number of private hospitals in the Yemeni provinces of Aden and Taiz. The contracts were signed by KSrelief Assistant General Supervisor of Operations and Programs Ahmed Al-Baiz, in the presence of Yemeni Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Nasir Baoum. The minister said that the new agreements are part of the ongoing consolidation of partnership between the public and private health sectors in Yemen, adding that they will contribute to the treatment of the wounded inside the country rather than abroad. Baoum lauded the “generous” Saudi support for the Yemeni people in different fields. As for Baiz, he stated that the new projects will give medical care for injured Yemenis, including 200 in Taiz, and 150 in each of the two Aden hospitals. Prior to these agreements, KSrelief has funded treatment for 5,697 injured and wounded Yemenis in private hospitals in Yemen.  Baiz said that these projects are part of KSrelief’s cooperation with the Yemen High Relief Committee, represented by the Public Health and Population Ministry, and international and local aid partners to provide medical care to Yemenis both inside and outside their country.
