KSA’s General Commission for Audiovisual and Media considers Japanese model for national policy

JEDDAH: Saudi Arabia is studying the audiovisual landscape of Japan to design its national audiovisual policy, said a statement issued by the General Commission for Audiovisual and Media (GCAM). In this regard, it added, the GCAM dispatched a team comprising Abdulaziz Al-Hraiwil from the investment development department and Essam Al-Ghamdi from its media sector department to Japan on the occasion of Tokyo Game Show 2018. The visit was planned in coordination with the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME). The GCAM team held meetings with government agencies and visited a state-of-the-art Virtual Reality (VR) theater /VR amusement park, Nippon Engineering College and other private firms.
