Saudi Arabia has invested SR500 billion ($133.3 billion) in industrial, service and logistics projects and contracts, which will go a long way in cutting dependence on oil, and in diversifying the national economy JEDDAH: The Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON) is participating in SIAL International Food Exhibition 2018 in Paris. The exhibition is underway and will continue through Oct. 25. More than 7,000 companies from 194 countries are taking part in the event. MODON’s pavilion at the exhibition highlights the investment environment in its industrial cities, in addition to the services and investment opportunities for MODON’s partners. Bandar Al-Toaimi, director of Marketing and Corporate Communication, said that “SIAL Paris” is an important platform to market MODON’s products and services. The existing industrial cities in the Kingdom include 3,380 productive factories and 6,271 industrial, service and logistics contracts with a total workforce that exceeds 500,000 employees.
