The SPSC aims to reduce medical errors and develop a national strategy for patient safety JEDDAH: Health ministers from around the world have gathered in Saudi Arabia for a major conference on patient safety. Under the patronage of King Salman, the Fourth Global Ministerial Summit on Patient Safety on Saturday got underway in Jeddah. More than 50 health ministers along with the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO) are expected to attend the influential two-day meeting. Organized by the Saudi Patient Safety Center (SPSC), the summit reflects the country’s pioneering role in the patient safety field. The SPSC aims to reduce medical errors and develop a national strategy for patient safety.
