Saudi Arabia, Lebanon to Continue Discussions Over Military Cooperation Agreement

Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Walid al-Bukhari and Defense Minister Elias Bou Saab underlined, during a meeting on Wednesday, the importance of activating the bilateral relations between the two countries within the framework of the technical committee. They also stressed the need to discuss activating military cooperation between the two sides. In this context, Bukhari and Bou Saab said they were committed to complete the discussion of the terms of the military cooperation agreement between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon to sign it as soon as possible. The two officials called for intensifying efforts to coordinate Arab positions on regional crises and other issues of concern, in order to promote joint Arab action and serve the interests of the countries and peoples, while preserving the sovereignty of each state and preventing any kind of interference in its internal affairs.
