The Arab League expressed on Tuesday concern over the “worrying” developments in the interim Yemeni capital, Aden. An official at the organization said the latest developments will negatively impact stability in Yemen and the unity of its people. Division of the country will harm the people and lead to more instability, he warned. Restoring comprehensive peace and stability in Yemen demands that all concerned parties work together towards a united goal, which is confronting terrorism and militias, he added, calling for dialogue and negotiations and avoiding military escalation and violence. The Iran-backed Houthi militias’ continued firing of rockets towards Saudi Arabia demands that a peaceful solution be reached in the country, he stressed. He condemned the attacks against the Kingdom, which he said pose a threat to regional and international peace.
